Richard A. Golden earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida – Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1978, and became a member of the Florida Bar in 1979. Mr. Golden is admitted to the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, as well as the 5th and 11th Circuits of the United States Courts of Appeals.
While attending the University of Florida, Mr. Golden was a participant on Law Review where he acted as Research Editor and Senior Student Works Editor. Mr. Golden was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and recognized for his academic achievements when he was named to the Dean’s List multiple times.
Mr. Golden also received the Book Award for his achievement in Products Liability and further authored “Automobile Crashworthiness – The Judiciary Responds When Manufacturers Improperly Design Their Cars” published in the Insurance Counsel Journal.
Prior to law school, Mr. Golden attended The George Washington University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975, majoring in Speech Communications and Political Science. While studying at George Washington, Mr. Golden was a participant in the Enosinian Debate Society, the Joint Food Services as both a Board Member and Chair, and a multiple time member of the Dean’s List.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Golden took an associate position with the law firm, Stroock&Stroock&Lavan, LLP, where he worked from 1978 to 1981. In 1982, he founded Kramer & Golden, P.A., with attorney Sanford H. Kramer.
Mr. Golden primarily focuses his practice in Commercial, Residential, and Developmental Transactions, Probate and Trust Related Administration, Asset Protection and Planning. Mr. Golden also acts as lead legal counsel for Rapid Title Services Company examining title and issuing title commitments and policies on the company’s behalf.
Mr. Golden is an active member and participant of the American Bar Association, Real Property, Probate, Trust Committee, the Florida Bar Real Probate and Trust Law Section, the Florida Bar Military Stand-By Committee, the American Philatelic Society, and the Probate Valuation Committee of Florida.
